AUSTRALIAN WINE LIST OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2018;
It’s not easy putting together a cutting edge, sophisticated, approachable and balanced wine list. It takes real talent to curate a list that offers emerging and trendy wines alongside the staples and old favourites. Having the right mix of international and domestic wines and of course being able to offer patrons new experiences at prices they can afford.
On Monday 23rd July 2018, we celebrated the Best of Australia’s Wine Lists
By investing time and money they have made the Australian wine and food scene what it is today. Standards are at an all-time high, and it was clear that the judges of the 2018 Australian Wine List of the Year Awards had one tough job. We would like to congratulate all the finalists for the depth and quality of their lists, and we would like to offer a special congratulations to the winners who took out the top Awards (see below).
Of particular note, it was great to see that the diversity of today’s wine lists is largely down to the inclusion of wines from smaller and emerging wine regions and from family run wineries. To give wineries like ours, outlets to showcase their wines will ensure the future diversification of the Australian wine scene. And for that, we want to thank all wine and food enthusiasts for their passion and support. Cheers!
